The Common Room was a recreational area for students where bands played occasionally. This night they all stayed at home.

Unlucky for the band but lucky for the in-audience recording which is mostly free of talking and so on. (Thanks to Tim Vandenberg).

It's a good performance from The Systematics as well and must have come fairly early in their career as a three piece. High points include blasting versions of The Israelites and Die For My House where Patrick's shouted grunts during the guitar bits are almost classic rock revisited.

One of my absolute favorite artist discoveries over the last few years, Gibson's work seems at least 20+ years ahead of its time. "I Needle The Oven" is what grabbed me when I first discovered him but as I dive deeper, I find more to love. Fantastic compilation for those just discovering him, or die-hard converts like myself. binocular rivalry
